Sljeme

As far as relaxation and recreation is concerned, Sljeme is the favourite destination of citizens of Zagreb and tourists, an unparalleled site on the Zagreb tourist map. This highest peak of the Medvednica Nature Park is located only 17 kilometres from the Zagreb centre and can be reached by foot or car/bike/bicycle.

Apart from hiking and cycling paths, Sljeme is criss-crossed with ski runs, and the newly built one offers an unforgettable pleasure of recreational night skiing that contributes to the Zagreb night life during winter. Ski competitions also take place at Sljeme, among others, the FIS World Ski Cup.
